Meet Mary

Originally from Michigan, Mary has spent the last decade living her dreams in New York City. She was raised on an overly dramatic diet of Puccini opera and Sondheim recordings, so it was no surprise to her parents when she chose to pursue theater professionally. She attended Ithaca College, receiving her BFA in Musical Theater, and has been based out of NYC since graduating.

Though musical theater will always be her first love, Mary is an avid play nerd and spends entirely way too much time and money at the Drama Book Shop. She is inspired by new works, especially written by those who are traditionally underrepresented on stage. She justifies her enormous play collection by teaching a Scene Study class monthly in New York City. 

In addition to theater, Mary teaches chess to children, is a voracious reader, and loves to spend time walking her sweet dachshund Burt around Manhattan.
